I'm Alex. I live in Cleveland, I work a regular job, and I go to the movies more than is probably reasonable — at the Cinematheque when I can, on the couch when I can't.

This site is the record of that habit. It isn't criticism in any credentialed sense. I can't tell you what a film objectively is; I can tell you what it was like to sit in front of it — what it did to a Tuesday night, whether the drive home was quiet, whether I've thought about it since.

There are no stars here and no scores. If something here puts you in a seat you wouldn't have picked otherwise, it did its job.
